Let us not forget all of the Confederate statues in this line as well.
All this BS has me going through my private home library of late. Found a book I haven't read in so long I got a craving for pancakes. I like mine with Tiger Butter too! 😮

Cancel Culture is an interesting animal.
Does a statue of Robert E. Lee offend black people, or does it remind white snowflakes of a part of our history they want to forget?
When I see the people who are hell-bent upon removing what they believe to be reminders of a negative part of our history, I see people who are trying to forget that history. We should not forget our history.
Locally a golf course has been renamed from Hangman Valley to Latah Creek. The 'Hangman' name references an 1854 conflict where, at the end, 7 Palouse Indians were extra-judicially hanged alonside Latah Creek, which was then universally referred to as Hangman Creek.
Absent the name 'Hangman', I would never have known about George Wright hanging these seven people, or the four that followed later that year. Latah Creek would have just been another name; one that I would not have researched or cared about in any way.
I went to grade school and high school in the area, and was taught nothing about this. Only the name Hangman cause me to research its origins.
Removing the name assuages the guilt of those that believe they are the inter-generational oppressors, but more than that, it removes the cause of the this false guilt from their day-to-day lives, and more than likely will keep that portion of our history away from our children and our children's children.
I guess my question is this: How much of cancel culture is actually addressing a wrong to a minority, and how much is simply a majority running from its past?

Don, the endgame is this:
They have things in their own past they want to hide so they can do more in the future, in the face of awakening. The masses just tote along for their ride blindly following what they're told to do in their preferred media.

I forgot about Uncle Remus. I still have a couple of 78 records with him telling a story. Please don't report me to counterculture. 😕

Too lazy to stand in line picture.
Adds new meaning to:
Trump created lots of jobs.
Biden's supporters/followers do not want jobs.
