2 extremes. Neither could possibly be insurable.

Looks good now, but what about when those dead trees start to rot?
On our (1985) cabin, we built the deck (10' off the ground) around a massive old oak tree. Well, the tree died 4 or 5 years ago and it has been coming down in pieces for the past few years. It is beyond anything I want to tackle and I have had 2 tree guys look at it and they don't want it, either.
Close to a pond, leaning over the cabin and a pretty severe slope. It would have to be climbed, and the tree guys said it wouldn't be safe to do so. So, we just hope it comes down a very little at a time.

That stacked place in the top photo looks almost like a miniature build to me.
There are some very talented folks that can build things in miniature that fool a lot of people.

The "dead trees" in the top picture are likely a visual cover over a steel I-beam. Problem with a dead tree supporting a structure in not the trunk- it is that the roots are dead- and will rot faster than any other part . There is no foundation to support weight. And when the wind blows... down will come baby, cradle and all.

Greenacres is the place for me. I suppose some here will get that.

Brookwood do you think the lady on the balcony wearing a mask is a miniature also? π€£

Heck! I had to go back and look again. I first thought it was a Golden Retriever! π Old eye syndrome! May be why my target shooting has been sucking lately too!

How about the guy in the black shirt and pants?

Nice big tree house. But the tree is dead. I wonder how soon it will begin to rot.
