    Nice. I've never had a problem with my 80 series, but like the series referred to as 70 series better. I've never had a true 70 series with a collet bushing.

    Commanders were never series 70. They never had collet barrel bushings

    Was talking about the 1911 platform in general.


    And people get upset if the exact right wording isn't used.


    I have multiple officer/commander/government models, and I will proudly proclaim that I am not an expert.


    I just like 1911's. They's purty, just like the beautiful example above from the OP.

    Yep, made a 70 out of my gold cup 80 so I could run an older model 22 conversion kit on it.
