    Little known fact:

    Polar Bears have black skin and fur is translucent to get sun's heat to skin.

    Another little known fact... polar bears are incredibly smart.

    A friend of mine was a pastor in Barrow, Alaska. He was invited to go out seal hunting with the elders, and they went to an open lead in the pack ice where the seals would come get air. One of the elders sat watching the activity, and as soon as he said it was time to go, they all did. Right away.

    He had the "sixth sense" that told him when a polar bear was around. The bears are smart, they'll stalk you approaching upwind. The only thing on them that's not white is their nose, so they'll lie on the snow and cover it with their paw, and sneak in closer. You can look right at them, and not see them. And when they attack, it's not some plodding slow ponderous approach. They move and jump like jungle cats. They are the apex predator.

    Darn! That polar bear mascot was a favorite of mine. Especially around the holiday seasons.


    I guess I will have to start drinking "THE UNCOLA" from now on. Oh......wait just a minute! 😂
