7.65 mauser vs 7.65 Arg interchangable?
I have some ammo I was listing. Searching GB, google etc I find 7.65 X 53 AND 7.65 X 54 one German/Belgian mauser and the other Argentine Mauser
How can I tell the difference or does it matter ..Thanks

Cartridges of the World lists the 7.65 as 7.65X53mm Mauser (Argentine). No mention of a 54 mm. It notes that there is a unique Belgium Mauser cartridge also exists, but there is no reliable data for it. The 7.65X53mm is generally referred to as the Argentine cartridge but was adopted by other South American countries and Turkey.
