Back when working Construction in N NJ/NY State, we spent all one winter tearing off and replacing decks at high end Condos, my Boss was Property Management Contractor on. We had a lot of people telling us how bad our Boss sucked, to be made to do that in the Wintertime.

They were shocked when we replied "We had been asked, and told him we would do it, in order to keep working through the Winter." Lots of Roof repairs at those units in the Wintertime as well, tracking down leaks and Ice dam issues, skylights etc. Sketchy conditions. Multiple roof levels, all steep, 3 levels up. We'd have guys that had done Tree Work and said they "could handle heights" without a problem, quit by lunch the 1st day.

You do what you gotta do.

*Butchdog2, you need any help? 🤔

There are some jobs that just need to wait until conditions improve. Of coarse, emergencies do happen and there are a plethora of quick fixes to get you by until the job can be done proper.

Worked for a company that drilled soil cores for analysis of the soils, so we dealt with Miss Utility every day. We had one job that required us to drill in a river, and I knew there was an underwater phone cable. Called Miss Utility, requested cable owner to contact us for co-ordination. She explained that they would have someone come out and put paint marks down where the cable was. We were 400 yards offshore in the Potomac River. Asked where did they get floating paint?

And yes, have seen painted snow before. Duh.

My dogs have been out painting yellow markings in the snow. I don't think they have any plans to do any fence work though.
