.224 5.56 bullets for reloading?? How to figure out what they are?
I have 410 rounds of .224 caliber bullets for reloading. They measure out with calipers and seem to be exactly the 55 grain remington in the last photo (shout to precisionloading.com for the pic and stats) but they only weigh 54.5 grains. Anyone have
any input? I was going to sell them on GB as they are not what I want to shoot, but I pulled the listing after weighing them, as I am not sure what they really are. Any help would be phenomenal. Thank you!!

I would think that 54.5 grains is well within the +/- tolerance for a 55 grain bullet

I loaded up 20 this evening while loading some 55 sierra FMJBT. 25.4 grains of 748. I will post my results after if anyone is interested, or not lol

That's excellent consistency for that type bullet. I've seen "off brand" FMJ bullets vary by 2-2.5 grains and the nose shape/length vary enough to be noticeable.
