Abbott, a Republican, emerged that evening for a series of television interviews. In short, curt sentences, he told Texans in the Lubbock and Houston areas that he had issued an emergency order and called for an immediate legislative investigation of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, which operates the electrical grid. He angrily accused the council of not having a backup power supply and not sharing information with Texans, "even with the governor of Texas."
The anger was clear, with petitions circulating online demanding the resignations of Abbott and Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, who briefly escaped the cold by fleeing to Cancún, Mexico. Citizens across the state posted angry memes on social media about the governor, crafting basketball-size snowballs they wanted to aim at him and superimposing "Where is Greg Abbott?" over a hellscape.

Abbot is a good governor and most Texans know it. However since he is popular, DEMOCRATs and their media operatives are using the great ice storm and related fallout to direct hate and vitriol towards Gov Abbot.
Sound familiar; It should because the same dirty corrupt media blamed the entire Covid epidemic on one man: Donald Trump.
Here is a teachable moment that should get your attention: Compare and contrast how the media is treating Abbot in comparison to how the media reacted to Cuomo and the unfortunate number of senior citizens who are no longer with us because of the governors bad decisions.

Well I will not vote democrat, and I did vote for Abbott last time, not so sure about him since the unmentionable topic mandate he pushed on Texans this last year or so... Cruz, still unsure of his intentions sometimes I like what he says, but not convinced he doesn't have a little rino in him...
