If you hold long term bonds your are going to get send to the cleaners soon.Old Joe and The central bank is in quick sand as people realize the ponzi scheme is not working anymore. Only a war would reverse the trend.

Interest rates have been rising for the better part of the last six months. The 10-year treasury rate went from 50 basis points in August to 1.3% today. The 30-year is up to 2.08% today, which doesn’t sound like very much until you consider that it was below 1.2% in the summer.
