ridgleyart your back yard looks like ours.

My wife had gone out on Sunday to throw scraps on the compost pile and she said there were tracks everywhere. She could not figure out what they all were. But the animals were smart they used all of the paths I made to the shed and then to the wood pile to walk in before they went back into th woods.

That's actually the front yard, the backyard is just woods.

Had to make a run to town so I stopped at the boat ramp to get a pic of Current River. The two short stanchions are boat tie offs at the end of the ramp. Yep, it's cold enough here in Southeast Missouri that there is a thin coat of ice on portions of the river.

The view from my deck. We have bare spots and drifts two feet deep. Snow was powdery so blew down, up, and all four points on the compass. I would estimate that we got about 8 inches. Got another one headed this way that could be as little as 2 inches or as much as 12.

A little more than a week ago at my friendโ€™s place in N.Pa. 30โ€+. Thereโ€™s over a foot still under the plowed roadway and more than another foot has fallen since then.

Iโ€™d post mine as a big deal but then Nanuq will come along with a picture of a polar bear sunning himself on top of a 20โ€™ drift by his garage and make me feel like Iโ€™m in Florida! :)

In reality I did have to raise the output chute of the snowblower this morning to get over the pile in the drive thatโ€™s about 7-8โ€™

I would have, but it all melted while we were hiking. Still a drought here, but we will take what we can get in the desert. I did feed the 3 sandhill cranes again.

Colorado Rocky Mountains, where we usually have FEET piled up by now, and don't expect to see the ground for another 2-3 months, we have a few inches under the trees. Bare ground on most of the north side of the mountain.

With this last major storm that is going across the country, we got a dusting. Maybe an inch or two. It was fairly cold @ -13. But if we don't get some decent snow, water is REALLY going to be an issue this year.

I planned on making a trip back to the farm to make a trail so that I could come back with my trailer later to get my 60โ€ pull behind mower and put a new motor on it.

Not gonna happen in this truck.

1โ€™ drift just at the gate. 100 yards down looks to be bout 3โ€™.

The field will be a better choice.

"Honey, have you seen the car?"

    "Where did you park it?"

"I don't know, maybe in the driveway overnight?"

    "Found it!"

I have most of my driveway cleared. S.E. North Carolina really got dumped on this year.

  • Mobuck

No snow NO MO. North MO is a sea of mud. The only snow left is what was piled up from cleaning parking lots and feed yards.

This is as snowy as it gets here.
