Most of the U.S.A. MODEL H-D MS pistols were made during WWII for the OSS some of which ended up with the CIA. In the early 1950s High Standard made an additional production run for the CIA. The later High standard company had a contract with the CIA to refurbish some of these pistols in the mid to late 1990s. The USMC still had them in active inventory in the early 2000s. I suspect they are still in active inventory with at least a couple of Government agencies.
