Several little things have happened to me to make be believe someone is watching out for me. I've had a slow driver pin me down and came up on a wreck that might have involved me if I had gotten around them. I've woken up from a dead sleep and knew I needed to check on my oldest (the wild child) .....yes....she had slipped out a window. All kinds of times I've had "that was close" moments that were prevented by a little voice or action. When my time comes I plan on haunting my oldest....she deserves it.

When I was 4, I fell on the corner of a piece of sheet metal and it went into my throat. If it’d went in the thickness of a piece of paper farther, I would of been dead in less than a minute.

After my dad died, my sister and I took care of our grandma

She passed away 6 years ago this month

    It was 40 degrees.

As I was sitting there at the graveside service, I saw a honeybee.

My grandpa and dad both raised honey bees.

It flew right to her flower arrangement that we’d bought for the top of her casket.

I was fixated on that bee the whole service

It brought me a peace that I much needed

To my mind, no way a honey bee would be out and about and able to fly in February at 40 degrees, let alone find the only flowers for hundreds of miles.

We had some trees that were close to, and leaning over the house, and needed to be removed. Cost estimate was $1,000+ per tree (100+ year old trees) and there were multiple trees. At that price, and because no one else wanted to do it, we did. Rented a boom lift, not sure how high it went, it was the tallest one they had, and you had to use the outriggers. Knowing this was going to be a week long job (or more) I grabbed the Farm Boss and went to work.

Got a lot done the first couple of days, limbing some, cutting others down. Went out one day to cut a big one. It was a "bit" breezy out. They ( I use the term "they" because there must be more than one, and I never know which one it is. and I do not use gender because I have asked them, and they say they are not male or female, but some people are more comfortable listening to us if we present ourselves as male or female) said......"You are going to die today" I know that it does not take much of a breeze to move/twist a tree, but it wasn't "that" breezy, or at least I didn't think so. I can position the lift to avoid the falling tree....right?

I told the wife about what they had said. She is used to me being helped by the other side. (she has been too) I went ahead and starting to set things up, because "that" tree was my plan for the day. As I was preparing to get to work, AGAIN they said...."You are going to die today" a little louder. I was starting to get worried at this point, and AGAIN told the wife about what they had said. After the third warning, which was louder, she said, then why don't we limb those trees over there, instead of cutting this one. I have learned that you better listen to them when they talk to you, (I will relate why below) I said OK. AS SOON AS I said OK, they said....."OK you are NOT going to die today".

We limbed trees that day, and cut down the big one the next day. There was NO breeze.

    A time I learned, when I didn't listen.

I was cutting between the tabs on the lid of a 5 gallon bucket of paint, with a razor knife to get it open. They said "be careful" I said " I am being careful" and cut another tab. Again they said "be REALLY careful" again I said "I am being REALLY careful", and cut another tab. Next time they screamed at me, and I verbally yelled back that I was, (am I really verbally arguing with my guardian angels???} that was just before I cut the palm of my hand wide open and bled all over. Got the scar to prove it.

    One more.

Was cutting a small piece of wood on a radial arm saw. They told me that I should not be using that saw, and to use the band saw. I ignored them and promptly cut my thumb 90% off. Bone, nerves and all, just a small piece of skin holding it on. The Dr. said a few years ago we would not have been able to put it back on, but with the advances in medicine over the last few years, we are able to now. Have some screws and metal in my thumb. First thing I did when they cut me loose from the hospital, was go to the emergency entrance and stick my hand through the door to see if it would set off the metal detector. I didn't.

I have had lots of conversations with them and have learned to always listen to them.

Have you ever been driving and "something' told you to slow down. Then around the corner was an officer with his radar gun pointed right at you? Did you slow down? This happened to me the other day, but I was already slowing down because the speed limit drops there and I no longer drive like I am in a race car. He pulled the next car that came up the hill behind me over. Guess he didn't slow down.

Ever had the phone ring and you KNEW who was calling. Even though you had not talked to that person in years?

And for those who would ask. ( I have had some people ask before)

I have asked for the lottery numbers. They literally LAUGHED at me.

    I could write a book.

I have decided like many other people, some take longer like me 😮 to just decide there is a lot actually way more than we can even imagine we will never understand and well beyond what we can comprehend

I think it is very near a miracle that any of us survive to adulthood, given the really great decisions we make as children and young adolescents. That said, I think all angels are myth and superstition. If you have one you are lucky at the very least.

I do have a guardian angel. She "talks" to me over my right shoulder. I don't hear actual words it is more like messages in thought.

She has helped me quite a bit over the years.

    Guardian angels are for real.

    +1...

There is no such thing as luck when discussing guardian angels.

I've no doubt about it, particularly in view of the scriptures that support it.

Yes, I do, and yes I have sometimes flunked their message and test. I really believe I was cast in Purgatory for a time for not seeing the light and not listening to the words that were plain as day.

Yes, the man upstairs has assigned me a good guardian angel.

Only thing I can figure is he don't want me to help him cull the incoming just yet.

Kinda in the same category that if I were a Wal Mart greeter you would not see as many people allowed past the door.

The more people I meet the more I like my dogs.

Same here, very few would get into Walmart with out being insulted.
