Aleph's technology is unique. It prints "actual living cells that are then incubated to grow, differentiate, and interact, in order to acquire the texture and qualities of a real steak," the release said.

"A proprietary system, similar to the vascularization that occurs naturally in tissues, enables the perfusion of nutrients across the thicker tissue and grants the steak with the similar shape and structure of its native form as found in livestock before and during cooking," the release continued.

    I have been getting my steaks from a 3d printer my entire life. Mine is even organic and uses grass to make and grow steaks. Doesn't even use electricity! All natural and biodegradable!

    Guessing your printer is as messed up as mine then....never prints the same one twice..

    Rather than a ribeye, why not use those living cells to incubated, grow, differentiate, and interact in order to acquire the texture and qualities needed to produce an interesting and entertaining forum member.

    I wonder if this technology will advance to the point that they will be able to 'print' someone a new liver, kidney, or other body part complete with matching DNA so that there is no chance of rejection?

    NeoBlackdog that is what they are working toward, not necessarily the company in serf's article but I'm invested in several 3D printing companys and one is focusing on medical usage.
