Beyond leaving negative feedback, your options are limited. You can contact customer service, but I'm at a loss as to what they're going to do about it. Had the buyers paid with certified funds, you could hold their checks and their ammo "hostage" and not ship until they pay the tax money. If they paid with plastic and you shipped, I think you might be out of luck.

They paid with cards and item was already shipped weeks ago. Been trying to get in touch with them since. One of them said they would pay me "from another card" but that was days ago. I left negative feedback for one who wont answer me. I will try once more with the other buyer before leaving feedback. I contacted customer service and will post their response. Thank you

If they paid what you originally requested that's on you and quite frankly it's a cheap lesson. IMO negative feedback from you isn't warranted.

I think you are going about this the wrong way. The mistake made was on your part, not the buyers. They paid the amount you asked. Going after them after the fact for the taxes that you admittedly didn't know about and then leaving negative feedback when they don't pay is out of line in my opinion. Consider this an expensive lesson learned, ask them nicely once and then move on.

As has been said, the mistake was yours unfortunately, leaving negative feedback when the buyer paid what you initially charged him is completely unwarranted.

Ummm....YOU admitted it was an error on your part and I ASSUME that you sold the ammo for a very high premium(just like everyone else in this climate). If so, then take the taxes out of the profit and be more careful next time. I understand that's not always easy to swallow, but how could you say it was the BUYERS fault?? No need to leave neg feedback. You put an item for sale, they paid the price plus the shipping that you stated. They did not pay the taxes that YOU did not ask for. J

Just my 2 cents, take it for what it's worth.

I don't want to live in a world where "an error on someone else's part means I get bad feedback" is normalized in any way.

    It's not our fault.

GB has a "checkout system", a "standard checkout process", & a "immediate checkout process". Not easy to read, especially for those of us who are not in business & don't want to get involved with credit cards.

What we need is a single checkout system with options for dealers, that notifies both buyer & seller of the tax due on each transaction.

"Contact Seller for Payment" to avoid the mess.

Since GB is a Marketplace facilitator they have to enforce the law regardless of how many transactions the individual has in each state or locality.
