Makes me want to run out and buy a Creedmoor!
(Don't tell Nononense I said that!)

neo I know you’re leading my 308 match auction but the reason I’m selling it is a friend built me a creedmoor and the 308 just sits now . Your wind drift is about 30% less with a creedmoor . Of course at current prices I guess a case could be made for shooting 2 dollar 308 rounds instead of 3 dollar 6.5 rounds . Anyway . I can consistently hit with the creedmoor at longer ranges . (Under about 5 or 600 yards it’s not as big deal )
the 6.5 is one heck of a paper or steel round at extreme distance.

A Creedmoor will be my next gun, I've already bought dies, brass, and bullets for it.

There’s quite a story behind this gun . My friend was Preston’s right hand man when he started surgeon rifles in Prague oklahoma . He built the 308 I used to take long range training . After surgeon got bought out and moved to Phoenix he made it a year or so before building some rifles for another company . This is the 6.5 my friend steve Barrier built a pair for another friend and I . This rifle has shot a 5 shot group covered by a quArter at 400 yards . It measured around .2moa. The rifle will onli do it with handloads but it will come close to that with Hornady 147 grain match .

Being very close to retirement and trying to stick to a frugal budget, right now I'm focused on feeding just a few calibers (.308 Win, 270 Win, 32 Spcl, and 5.56/223) that I already have. In the future, when/if things settle down, I may very well try out the 6.5 Creedmoor. I've never been one to jump on a bandwagon or run with the herd, but everything I'm reading about this round has me thinkin' it may be more than just a flash in the pan like so many new cartridges are.
That's a nice lookin' rifle!
