To me the quality and number of a seller's feedbacks would weigh heavily on weather I made a purchase or not.

Welcome to the greatest gun transfer tool around. I’m having a great day...hope you are too.

    1. You don’t, but positive feedback and a trail of completed auctions is a hint.
    2. Yes...IMO. If you really want the item, email them and build comfort.
    3. Not much. Pay with a CC.
    4. Yes...through your CC

    Now start bidding.

Yes, NR bidders can make a buyer nervous. As already mentioned, contacting the seller prior to bidding can go a long way in getting a feel for the seller. From my experience, most NR sellers don't accept credit cards, so that protection is probably not an option. There is some protection from GB.

    Buyer's Protection Program

One thing to remember though, all sellers started there...

A general comment on this subject . For 20

yeara I have backpaged , gun brokered , gun showed, front sighted , trained with swat and police teams . I have never been treated poorly in a deal or lied to or stolen from . Not have I done those things .

not to say you couldn’t be , but in general gun people are people of their word.

Gun Broker does more than any other website to keep scammers off their page, so if a person has something listed for sale they are less likely to be a scammer here than any other website.

It doesn't hurt to send an email over asking a general question just to get a feel for the person you are dealing with. Paying with a credit card will give you a backup plan to get your money back if a sale goes off the rails...but don't think you can just get a refund from them if you aren't happy with the item, it doesn't work that way.

I have made several substantial purchases off GB thru the years and there are two things I look for before sending my money out. (1), a physical address that you can GPS. (2). A reasonable distance I don't mind driving if necessary.
