Admin and moderators I know this should probably go in GR&CL or Politics but I feel it important that everyone of us sees this and acts on it. This is HR 127 introduced by Sheila Jackson Lee and it will SEVERELY curtail our 2A rights. This is drastic!

Shelia Jackson Lee Has been introducing this bill every year, nothing new. Just Hype. Now Joe Biden stopping interstate gun sales by decree is something that could happen soon enough and ask yourself why GB urrrr is ..... fill in the blanks I don't want to be banned here.

I find it rather sad that this legislation was named after a young girl that was murdered by a person that was ALREADY prohibited by existing law from POSSESSING a firearm.

There is that, and the fact that nothing in the legislation would change anything that happened that day other than, maybe, forcing Remington to spend millions defending itself in court.
Obviously this is the case with most gun legislation. Absent the complete banning and confiscation of all firearms, bad actors will do bad things. This, while probably the goal, will never happen, so the obvious goal is to simply make legal ownership so difficult that most folks will just throw in the towel.

The Government knows they can't take away all the guns.. But they can severely cut the flow of ammo...and it seems they are doing it right now...

There are those who thought the NY Safe Act of 2013 would not pass. They would be wrong. Every county in this state was against it except NYC, Westchester, LI. Then the TYRANT Andrew Cuomo slammed the door shut and conspired with Skelos and Silver behind closed door. Both are in jail now I believe. Never gave "We the People" a chance to review it. Passed it out to legislators and gave them a few minutes to read almost 90 pages. King Cuomo claimed it was a "Message of Necessity" BS. What happened to his commission to study corruption in New York State. He disbanded it. The bum belongs in prison. Look at his record then and now. Why should anyone be shocked by any of this? You mean you didn't see it coming? The heads up was back when they signed the "Patriot Act" into law. It has been nothing but a steady erosion of our rights and privacy ever since. They blatantly steal three Federal elections {with the complicity of the US Postal Service} and imprison dozens of people for merely showing up at a rally and your surprised by this? The FBI and other Federal law enforcement agencies have become politicized in the same manner the East German Stasi was. I don't believe most people truly realize the danger we are already in. Now they want to force you into carrying electronic passports {using so-called vaccination status for cover} just like all dictatorships do to their subjects. But before they can go much further with their plans, they know they must disarm us. That is what they intend to do, and soon. And don't count on the US Supreme Court to come to our rescue, because they won't. They have already proven who's side they are on, time and time again.
