    More seriously though....

-Spending enough time in the woods with both my sons so that now as adults they are able to enjoy the outdoors...

-Taking both sons fishing from an early age so that now even in their 30's they want to do that with me.....

Hunting, fishing, and shooting with my sons.

Gun auctions, big flea markets, big gun shows, (Louisville,KY and Tulsa), turkey shoots with the run-a-round gang.

Many of them have past over the big river.

Enlisting in the Air Force in 1968...ended up being an aircraft electrician which was a great job.

Joining the police dept. when I got out,

I'm proud of delivering four babies, one set of twins, one in the back seat of a car, and another in a house.

I'm also glad that over the years I have held several peoples hands as they died.

18 weeks sober today, so much money saved...well not really saved, but spent on shooting related items instead of booze.

    I never cheated at cards

Never laid a hand on a woman.

Never quit a job unless I had a better one lined up.

    Never been in jail.

I voted Democrat once, for Diane Swinestein in her last run for Senate. Before you flame me, hear me out.

Calif changed their voting laws, so that in the primaries, no matter what party, the two with the most votes, run against each other in the election. Congressman DeLeon, and her ended up running, and he had a good chance of winning. He's the anti-gun jackwagon that introduced all the latest BS laws we have to deal with now. He was young, and could have been in the Senate for another 40+yrs, bringing his anti-gun BS to your state too. Swinestein is on her last leg. The big plus, if he lost, he was done in the state politics.

A group of us on CalGuns started a movement to vote for her, and there were just enough votes because of that, for her to win. No, not proud of it, but I smile every time I think of that POS unemployed, and not able to infringe on my 2A rights anymore.

Ridgleyart, getting off booze or drugs is never easy but you know it is the smart/right thing to do. I don't have any advice for you or anyway to help you so I'll say a prayer for you and let the Lord help you!!

Yes I do have some advice. Don't try and do this alone!! The Lord, friends or AA, do whatever it takes to stay sober!!

My granddad used to tie a Turks Head around his axe handles so his hand knew where the end was. One of them disintegrated and fell off my dad’s axe and I could tell he was sad about it and embarrassed he’d never learned from his dad.

I set to learning how to make one, then next time I saw him I brought a long thin leather thong and tied one for him.

He marveled as he watched me, same way as I marvel at the things my boy can do now.

one of the little things that really make me feel good is when someone comes up to me and has something good to say, or brags about one of my adult kids..........
