Hahaha...did you hear about the NPB???

That blew me off for 3 weeks, and after getting the NPB email from GB, emailed me stating that if I was still willing, he would send payment for the item.... I really had to chuckle about that one.. What good stories/excuses have you heard?

    Just like you, heard them all. I am kind of glad I have almost everything out of my collection that I am going to sell. My patience has grown short in my years and Gunbroker has been a Godsend to get the most out of my items.

    1. Wife got in accident, won't be able to get to USPS for weeks.
    2. I did not bid on your item and I don't know who did but it wasn't me!
    3. I hit the wrong amount, sorry.
    4. My son was on Gunbroker and wanted to get rifle for me and I didn't know he was bidding. Kind of funny that he was doing that for me but there is no way I can afford that rifle. (NO, it was not funny}
    5. Would you negotiate price now that I have won item? Cause I don't want to pay that much.
    6. My rent came due, and I thought my wife paid it already but she didn't.( On a 25 dollar item )
    7. Sir, would you consider a trade? I won item, I have two rather rare Jennings in the SILVER BOX EDITION. I would give you those two for the Colt 45.

    If they say they cannot pay..Block and request a credit. Move on..Relist I use an old saying... I don't want to hear excuses.. I want to see results.

    The thing that ticks me off more than anything when this happens is how easily they ask to just "pay the fees" and move on. It tells me that this moron has screwed around so many times that they have got it in their head that paying the fees and relisting the gun is a legitimate option.....like its just how things work and its not at all screwing everything up. If nobody let these idiots pay the fees and they all got bad feedback when this happens they would take their bidding more seriously and it wouldn't happen as much.


    Every time one of these idiots comes around I can't help but be ticked off at the sellers that let this idiot become the moron they are turning into.

    I've really only had a few on Gunbroker, but have sold thousands of items over on feebay so I imagine I've heard them all.

    If we all behave, this shouldn't get locked. There's no complaining or name calling.........yet.

    Wrong. This is all complaining and as a result calls for the lock. Get over it, NPBs are more prevalent today because of the volume of buyers. They don't read the rules and the rules aren't enforced. Bids are a contract, not a negotiation.
