Is it a good time to sell firearms ?
Just wondering your thoughts. I noticed on GB that some prices, such as the Ruger mini -14 , are up. I do not need the money but have a 1985 model and wondering if it is best to wait and see what the new president comes up with ?

I have 9 getting ready to hit the Auction side. Yes. This is the time to sell at a profit, if you have anything you can live without.
If you do not need the $$, I might just hold on to it. (But) Prices are really up there right now.

perfect time as long as you are not planning on replacing the same rifle/pistol in near future as current political climate may keep the prices on rise or at least at the peak for quite some time. anything you no longer shoot or plan to pass on to someone seems would be a good time to get rid of, ammo or weapons and even reloading supplies are all at a premium right now......

I'm going to buck the trend (surprise) and say that I feel there is still more room for higher prices. Right now the only panic buying is in ammunition. If you sold 9mm for 50-60 cents per round during the summer you likely felt that you did quite well. Take a look at 9mm pricing today:

9mm is selling at a buck per round minimum.
Although semiauto rifles are currently bringing good prices, I'm not seeing them selling at the kind's of panic prices we saw back in 2008 and 2012. If you don't need the money immediately, I'd hold back. That's my opinion. Your mileage may vary.

If you don't need the gun, and would like the money, sell it. Or wait hoping for higher prices- and put your future money in the hands of people like AOC, Pelosi and Slow Joe.
Ask the people in states where registration turned to confiscation.

We know exactly what they want to do: ban the manufacture, sale, or possession of all firearms that give the citizens the capability of putting up sustained (defensive) fire; it becomes too difficult for them to find police officers to enforce the laws in their police-state if the citizens can put up a good fight against the police (the police in this case will be acting as the criminal-enforcers under their authoritarian state control).
First and foremost, they will be trying to ban semi-automatic firearms and any "large" capacity magazines that will give any firearm (even bolt-action, lever action, pump-action, etc. ones) "repeating fire" capabilities.
They will also likely be banning the purchase or possession of any more than a relatively few rounds of ammunition.
The only questions are: will they be able to actually get enough support to pass the laws they want, and will the courts allow their unconstitutional laws to stand.

I say sell'em if you don't need'em, the more people that own firearms the free'er this nation will remain and less likely to be taken over by insiders & outsiders.......let's remain free 😊

Just my 2 cents, if you are selling just to down size (which I wouldn’t do, never have to many) keep ammo in mind. Try and make what you are left with mostly, if not all same caliber, of what you have the most ammo in.

Panic buying will begin when the Dems start their ideas thru the two houses. There are some Dems that don't like the ideas in the Senate. No guarantees anywhere. IF their little house of cards don't work ..and it won't on all ideas... they will regroup and take what they can on any gun related ideas. When the dust clears that is when prices will fall and everything will settle down. Take the sales now if money is to be made.
