Primer Score!

I've never had much luck with Craigslist, but I tried posting a couple of ads for reloading stuff and they were immediately deleted. So I posted a third ad that simply said Primers Wanted, and I got a response. The guy said he had some small rifle primers and that he had been selling them for $45/1000, then he asked how many I was looking for. I told him I would take as many as he could part with. He told me he could part with 15,000, so of course I said I'd take them all. Just picked them up this morning, hopefully this will be enough to get me through the shortage.

    He's still unpacking from a move, but said he had about the same amount of large rifle primers and he's going to call me when he comes across them. 😁

    i think, not knowing for sure, the SR primers should work just fine for SP primers if you reduce max charges by 2/10 grain and use them in revolvers. The dimensions are the same, unlike LR and LP primers.

    have heard the same thing, I have a brick and half of small rifle, and no use for them, I thought I would save them for a last resort in case I ever run out of small pistol.......

    I plan on using them, I live in the country and shooting is just a matter of walking out the front door, so I shoot a lot. 😁

    thought i was doing good scoring on three hundred small rifle primers. farm supply store here has sporting goods stuff so ask about primers every time i go in.....been awhile since they've had any. one guy yesterday sold me two hundred,,,today different guy would only sell 100..... they are only supposed to allow one box of 100 per customer at a time
