I think those vines are Green Briers, especially if the have the dreaded thorns on them. Very aggressive and mean to get through.

    Around here anyway.

Vines are cissus, wild grape, check the leaves-grape. Not insect eggs, fuzzy one is a fungus gall, the other is an insect gall, caused by a larval insect growing there in summer. Bees will go after the fructose in corn.

our wild grapes still cluster like regular bunch of grapes though they are still smaller than blueberry. Green briers are about the size of blueberry and are spaced out by single berry and very thorny with very green stem and clustered in big bunch that you can hardly walk through.......

Butchdog2 hillbille I agree, green brier. The pic after the close up of the berry is the mess in which the berries live. I hate it when i come upon these darn things.

We.re lucky, we had our place selective cut a few months ago and the loggers cleared some old roads and made a few new ones. Makes for great walking, unless you jump off the road.

Fruit does seem to be a bit large and mushy for Green Briers. Again the ones around here.

Thorns on the vines? Tough as nails to cut?

Leaves, could have dropped in from somewhere else.

Very nice, love the woods, anything outside. I live in a similar rural setting and I appreciate it every day and try not to take it for granted. Wandering around is my thing, I'll be giving 'em heck when I get to the old fart home.
