I took a lot of distillery tours in Scotland when we went over for a wedding a few years ago. At a distillery that makes a blended whisky named the Famous Grouse, they told us that the women that smells the blends to make sure they are consistent, smells a couple hundred samples a day, has her nose insured for a few hundred pounds, and never catches cold.
So there may be something to this idea. Clearly we should be funded to conduct a 6 month study!

Good ol CapnMidnight!😉 I miss that old bird. We had some places and careers/industries in common, not to mention he was one of about four GBers who I met in person.
