Winchester 1890 serial number

I just got a 1890 .22 SHORT. The receiver is color case and looks too good. Also the bolt is color case. The barrel has been sleeved. The wood is pretty but shiny so I guess refinished, but it is still proud. This is a sweet little rifle serial number 198107. Is 1904 right???

    Both ridgleyart and I gave you the correct DOM on the last one as 1920, and you still listed it as 1924?

    Yes, this one is early 1904.

    As soon as I can, I have I think three more Mausers first. Then two Colt 1911's and some Ruger revolvers. Two Fox Sterlingworth 20 ga's and two L.C. Smiths. I am going to get out of here about 8 pm and come back at five. I will be glad when I get as old as Forge and don't have to sleep at all.
