    I worked for Chrysler Dealerships when they were involved with Renault. Mechanics made a fortune buying Renaults that would come in for work that would cost more than the car was worth. They would buy the car cheap and sell parts off of it, often time working from their homes. The dealership didn't want to work on them so would tell a customer, 'Why don't you talk to Joe, I think he can help you."

    John Delorean made a huge mistake using a renault engine .

    Renault LeCar had a life span of about 60,000 miles.One of the guys that sold Amsoil had one with 300,000 miles on it.Nissan merged with Renault in the early 2000s.Pre 2000 Nissans were some of the best vehicle on the road after that quality went down badly.Not quite as bad as the Eurotrash vehicles,but pretty bad.
