BTW, John McLaughlin is a long time TV News figure who is very well respected, not a nut case or radical. I trust his observation as truth.

Well said. I haven't figured out if this riot was just plain stupidity or if it was orchestrated to advance the lefts agenda. By taking the low road they have managed to destroy any attempts of rationally addressing their concerns. It seems that we have seen the death of both common sense and decency. The country will be weaker and even more divided because of it. Bob

I don't think the criminals who assaulted the capital building were really a part of the Trump supporters.

Those people saw an opportunity to "USE" the honest citizens supporting Trump's legal concerns about a stolen election to turn even more folks against the proven voter fraud claims being made.

I had a friend who attended the "protest" and I'm absolutely certain that had he been armed he would have been FACING the mob trying to prevent the attack rather than being part of the mob.

Take a look at the police presence at the time of the attack. Very few cops in a position to stop the mob and those that were in position are all BACKING UP. The whole thing was a setup put in place by folks who were concerned that Congress would actually lean toward Trump's claims.

I watched the interview posted above with one of the people present. Him and his wife had traveled from Iowa to be there. There was violence before the push into the Capital Building. Some people were cut or stabbed. The police warned the crowd that there was blm and antifa members there. The man said him and his wife moved to the periphery where an escape route was possible. He said he seen two people that had been cut taken out by medics and police, and this was before the push into the capital building. He also said he knew a couple of people that got trapped in the crowd that pushed into the building and then made their way out.

While it disturbs me to see the Capitol Building compromised like that I also find a little satisfaction that congress ran like wussies when they actually had to face some of the people they represent. I feel real bad for the Air Force veteran that was shot and killed. The other deaths were medical related and probably has something to do with the age of some of the crowd.

Never let a crisis, (even if manufactured) go to waste is in full on use right now.

Several days ago the Mayor of DC said she would be supplying security for the protest. You and I both know this is exactly why there were too few Police there. That was her plan all along, give lax security and allow the mayhem to start, possibly with agitating plants. Even if the plants were there there is zero excuse for others to follow them off the cliff of reason and peaceful protests.

It plays right into the hands of the leftists that excused months of ANTIFA/BLM violence all summer long. This debacle will ahve long lasting ramifications and we are going to suffer greatly for it.

By the way, I heard the LEO that has died was hit in the head with a fire extinguisher, causing a blood clot in his brain that killed him. I hope, nay, I PRAY the scum that struck that man and killed him is caught put into super max and executed by hanging within six months of his sentence.

The screaming moron Jake Angeli is the guy in the Viking hat acting like the fool he is. FB and other junk has reports of his being Nancy Pelosi's SIL. WRONG, he was interviewed earlier by Mr. Vos, who was acting in his capacity as a reporter for a Dutch news station. He is married to Nancy's daughter. I imagine he eats a lot of expensive ice cream too.

QAnon is brim full of idiots; they are beyond redemption and steeped in stupidity. I hope Jake Angeli is in jail now and stays there for decades.

And Trump supporters are getting the blame..The Democrats knew exactly what they were doing..Why do you think Nancy sent her son in law there.? And no he won't go to jail..his mother in law is the speaker of the house.. Trump and his supporters were set up big time..

Being set up MIGHT be true but being STUPID enough to commit the crimes against our nation these dolts did is a undeniable provable fact.

Those arrested so far have all be ardent Trumpers. Nancy's son-in-law is a reporter. It was his job to be there, it did not matter who sent him, I assume his employer did. WHY THE HECK SHOULD HE GO TO JAIL? All he did was interview the Viking nut-case. He did not riot, he did not break into the Capital building, he did not try to enter the house, he did not tear the crap out of the building, steal stuff and damage MY PROPERTY.

Nope, set up, egged on, encouraged or supported by their dear mother is no excuse. There is no excuse for what they did. Blaming others for their actions is wrong think on a major level.

The guy in question was no Trump supporter, so why was he there?

She knew what was going to happen.. Antifa and BLM were there.. Trump supporters were fighting with them to try and keep them out of the Capital..it was all planned and thought out.. worked like a charm.. they knew it would turn people against Trump and his supporters..

I will fully agree what they did was WRONG, but why they did it, I can understand, the people are getting fed up, while this still doesn't give them the right to do it, I understand the why. and the only reason the media and all the politcians are so strongly opposed it because they came after them this time, it wasn't the mom and pop liquor store on the corner, or the local jewelry store that got burned and looted it was the corrupt politicians hiding spot that got broken into. I just wish someone would have taken a big crap on pelosi's chair/desk before leaving..... my only hope is these politicians learn the average american is close to saying enough is enough.

It seems like we conservatives are outmaneuvered on every confrontation, like the left are always one step ahead. Now with this overrun of the Capitol and the left putting their people in the crowd to smear us and Trump, it just seems like another failure. Another slap in the face.

Until you stop and think that their brains are wired to be devious and to cheat and to find ways to get ahead by any means necessary.  Ours are not.  We hold ourselves to a higher standard as naturally as breathing.  It never occurs to us to cheat.

So take heart when you feel like you're getting beat at the political game.  It means you still have a soul and you still have your ethics.

+1 and if this is really the case, putting people in crowd, it may have backfired as the next " peaceful demonstration" anywhere will have to be condemed by them as violent riot as they have done the latest in DC

And just think..if all the Trump supporters had worn "Black Lives Matter" T-shirts it would have been a "Peaceful Protest" ..the Democrats know how to cheat.. and they know how to win.. whatever the cost..

Us conservatives have let them push us around for way too long. I hope like thinking folks are starting to do some deep thinking of just how far they will go when their liberal neighbors are beating the drums of disarmament and socialism at their door....

I am pissed off at the idiots. They may have succeeded in destroying the Republican Party. Then they make it racial because the demonstrators weren't treated the same as blacks. That's true. An unarmed white woman was shot and killed by a cop and no one looted and burned the city. I'm saving that one for the next BLM peaceful demonstration that turns violent. My loving wife told me shortly after this disaster that she hates me because I voted for Trump. I for one think that Trump has totally gone off the rails. Possibly the 4 years of constant pressure by the media and the Democrats may have had something to do with it,

If they had wanted to, if it was the plan, they could have taken the place apart bare handed.

The republican party destroyed itself, by being commie democrats.

How it was handled, why it was handled and the manner it was handled is irrelevant.

It should NEVER have happened, those guilty of crimes will be punished harshly, as they should. The ANTIFA/BLM riots resulted in almost no charges. Would you truly expect otherwise?

What happened to ANTIFA/BLM riots has nothing to do with storming the Capital. We are supposed to be better than others, more clear thinking, more law abiding and above all, God fearing Americans that should never resort to violence.

These morons played right into the hands of the (D) Marxists, Facebook, Twitter and the media. All of them are laughing at their total win.

The ramifications of this disaster will be felt by us all when the (D) party gets into full swing against anyone that thinks Freedom tempered with personal responsibility is paramount.

Hang onto your suspenders, they will start on January 20th, 2021 with raw unbridled vengeance in their souls.

The last 2 "elections" were the commie lefts middle finger to the deplorables, bitter clingers, flyover country, bible thumpers, freedom lovers, what ever term you want to use. It was their "this is how it's gonna be and you're gonna take it". Obviously a few people disagreed.

Their objective has always been the same.

You are right in that it should have never happened. If congress had done it's job, if the scotus had done it's job instead of punt the ball and blowing us off....

It just proves that if you try to stand up for your country... you get crucified.. even by your own fellow Americans... America is done..

Methinks that bashing a police officer in the head with a fire extinguisher and killing him kind of crosses the line of acceptable behavior by a wide margin. The only thing this out of hand protest did was give the socialists another arrow in their quiver to quickly kill what few freedoms we have left. I will bet this will hasten attacks on liberty more than any of the mass shootings that have happened. Bob

Yes Antifa bashed a cops head in.. nothing worse than they did all summer..also an innocent woman was shot to death for being there by the same cops..if the whole truth ever comes out about what happened a lot of mind's will change..

If indeed it was antifa don't you think the other protesters were in some way culpable by providing the scenario for that murder to take place? If the passenger in a vehicle supplies the booze that gets the driver drunk who then hits and kills your kid would you think the passenger was without blame? If that innocent veteran helped create the scenario for deadly unrest does not some of the blame rest with her? The left has now gone into their never let a crisis go to waste mode and we will pay the price for these idiots letting what should have been a peaceful protest get out of hand. Bob

So you are saying the protesters shouldn't have been there in the first place..?? So if you and your neighbor are driving down the road and someone calls him a S.O.B ..and your neighbor gets out and punches him is it your fault.?? It was all a set up.. that's why Antifa and BLM was sent there..and the media is running with it..

  • gartman

After Republicans wailing for months about how terrible BLM is I am perplexed at how it became the new standard for Conservative behavior. Excusing the attack on the Capitol with "well, BLM rioted too" is really lame and childish  and I have heard it a lot lately.

Yes I am saying the protesters should not have stormed the building. If outsiders instigated a setup the rightful and peaceful protesters acted like sheep and went along with it providing and enabling the outsiders to derail what should have been a peaceful protest outside of the building. The whole purpose of the protest will now be forgotten or ignored just like the protest last summer. If there was any legitimate reason for last summers unrest then it has been put on the back burner and ignored while the bulk of the people focus on the violence and looting.

By lowering themselves to the level of antifa and blm they have only hurt their cause and diluted the message. I'll bet the instigators are happy as can be that they were able to lead the sheep into a condition of irrelevance. Bob

bpost said,............."We are supposed to be better than others, more clear thinking, more law abiding and above all, God fearing Americans that should never resort to violence."

If that thinking was around in the late 1700s, I figure we would all still have British accents. Never say never.

I in no way support what happened, nor do I even know the truth of the matter,....nor does anyone else here btw. I have always just wished that Trump would have grown up, and had a little respect for the office. He wouldn't have made himself such an easy target, but he is what he is, and now will pay for it with his legacy.

It's too bad Twitter didn't ban him at the beginning of his term, he would have been a lot better off.

  • Floyd621

I don't support what happened either..but what could they have done.. start shooting Antifa and BLM members..wonder how that would have worked out...??

The aura of Defeatism prevalent, (Here, and elsewhere) is disheartening.

My Brother and his Wife were present Jan 5th/6th in DC. (Were quite prominent actually.) What happened was Orchestrated.

What actually happened, is not being reported. (Big Surprise there.)
