Susie - according to my public school math, your county's infection rate is 5.8%, not .05%, with a death rate of 1.5 percent of those infected. 5.8% means one out of every 17 people in your county have been infected. Many people question the accuracy of these statistics. I sincerely hope the numbers in this case are wrong.

Yep. Forgot to move my decimals when I did the posting of the math. As lax as the people here are and with everything basically being open one would think numbers would be much higher.

Of course bear in mind... since the election results were shuffled around who knows what the real covid numbers are.

We have had ZERO flu deaths in our county compared to last season numbers. So something is either wrong or skewed. Our daily paper has never had a flu death on the front page like it does a "covid" death. Example, another death do to Covid, a 95 year old woman in a assisted living has died do to covid complications? She had a fever my guess.

Here are our numbers for our county. Updated today.

In August Darke Co. was number 1 in the state for infections per capita.

Everywhere I have checked, the numbers of infections and deaths due to COVID are way below the narrative that the media is pushing.

My daughter got routine blood tests for non-COVID things yesterday. The doc tossed in a test for COVID antibodies just because. Guess what..... she has COVID anti-bodies without ever being sick in any way. So, is the test result in error, or is it another case of "follow the money?"

One of my employees with a connection in the Sheriff's office/police department in the next county east of my home county told me all of the deaths in that county except those vehicular or traumatic specific have been reported as "COVID related". In other words, there haven't been any "natural causes" deaths in that county for nearly a year.

Our numbers are similar in the county I live in located in Central MO.....Population 17,603 with the about 65% of it located in one city. As of Monday we had 1508 total infections and 20 deaths..... 8.5% infection rate and 1.33 death rate.

Our schools have been open most of the time and are currently meeting in person. We have been attending church service again since May. The bulk of our numbers come out of the largest town which makes sense....Also a lot of our folks work in the Columbia area and their rate is considerably higher........so far so good here...

I have avoid Columbia and Jefferson City as much as possible....trying to spend my free time in the woods or at an outdoor area and range...
