I don't believe it would meet code in a couple of states.

More proof the country is going in the wrong direction.😉

Won't meet national building code.
Ends must return in to the wall.
But, but you sure could shoot up the stairs.

Little chance of any muzzle rise when firing that one.

I am pretty sure that barrel is not cut down to illegal length.

I can see in the picture that the barrels had some added length to them. Stretched is the word used when adding more to a barrel. As far as I know, it is only done for looks (Wall Hanger) and not for shooting.
I bet you might just find a shotgun lamp at that residence as well. 🙂

Makes me wish I had stairs. I have the perfect double barrel for it. My grandfather's Damascus barreled double barrel is not functional. This would be the perfect repurpose for it. Now, I'm going to have to come up with something along these lines to do with it.

It is not the barrel, although the barrels seem to merge into one. But as stated earlier the rail must return to the wall, or return to the post.

Alpine, I am thinking pre-code.😘 I know a pile of others that don't return, and aren't that cool.⁹
