I've seen that one several times. It's pretty accurate, and I know several of the guys featured.
It is now recognized that the FAC job was the most demanding, highest intensity, and mentally challenging pilot job ever flown. I am proud to say that I flew 300 combat missions as a FAC, in a highly covert mission supporting ground recon teams in Cambodia. I lived many of the ordeals that Darrell and John (both friends of mine) describe. I'll tell you this: Losing a team as described is a stake in your heart. BTDT.
