People and time
I admit I have a thing about being late. I can't do it. If the doc appointment is for 2:00 I am there no later than 1:45.
I arranged for the surveyor to come to my home THIS MORNING. I told him I would be home from the bank, getting CASH to pay him, by 10:00AM. He said he had a stop to make on the way and would be there shortly after 10. It is now 2:06PM, he still ain't here.
I may just fire his dumb butt for being an inconsiderate jerk. I am sure there are other surveyors that would LOVE to get paid in cash for a job.

Hello, my name is Al and sometimes, I'm a little late, but I do call.
One of the first jobs in getting my house built was to meet with an excavation/building contractor. I waited until he was an hour late to call to see if there was a problem. "I had a flat tire." Well, it only takes a half hour to change a tire & you're working a mile away. "No, can't be there today." What about tomorrow? " Gotta buy a new tire." It doesn't take all day to buy a tire. "Yep it does." Okay, you call me when you can be here.....He called 3 months later & was pissed that the lot was cleared & the foundation was in by other contractors.
