Inspection camera opinions please........
Looking to get an inexpensive inspection camera to have around just in case. Currently could use one for a plugged up drain line, and one would have been handy in the past. Not looking to spend a bunch of money since it won't get that much use, but really don't want to re spend the same money next time I want to use it. Any one have experience with the lower priced units (>$150)? Looking at screened or android models, cable length, etc. TIA.

Around here most of the rental places rent them now usually the lower end cameras the light heads on them are not enough to see much of you're in anything but pvc

It's probably not what your lookiong for, but I bought one ot the HF 3' cameras & use it for many things. If it's an outside drain, NH has a self feeding hose that attaches directly to a power washer line (w/o the gun.) It could work for an inside drain if you can get at it from an outlet.

The Ridgid is a decent unit and that is what most of the rental companies use

I have a Milwaukee with a 24"? wand. It is about five years old. I have used it twice, and it saved my bacon both times. Once on a Cat engine to retrieve an escaped valve lifter down onside the engine, and recently to see into the top of a transmission tower and line the shift rails back up. I got it for Christmas, but I think it was around $200.00 with a battery and charger.
