The statement gun violence really kills me(no pun intended). I have loaded guns around me all the time. I spent 4 years in combat in support of the GWOT and 25 years with guns all around and I have never seen a gun be violent any more than a hammer or a spoon.
Now they are going to "Go after the gun evil gun dealers", they would do better to just enforce the laws we have and make an example of those who break them.

How does creating a disparity between criminals and lawful citizens do anything but perpetuate gun violence??? Criminals get guns however they can so they can continue being criminals. Restricting law abiding citizens' access to defense essentially gives criminals a free pass. Why is this such a hard thing for politicians to understand?
It has nothing to do with curbing crime. They just don't want to admit that controlling every aspect of our lives requires a disarmed populace.

Dano is right. Around here, they fail to mention the demographics of who is shoothing who in a certain neighborhood. It's a morality issue that they don't want to address for fear of not being politically correct or appearing to be racist. They also refuse to admit that the cities with the most shooting have the strictest gun control laws.

they ( left and [politician's in general ) know if they were to call out who does 90% of the crimes and gang related issues they would left out to dry no way any one wants the truth
and sadly by the ones who know there right would be the ones throwing rocks
there also afraid to address the issue of mental illness no way cost would be astronomical to meet all the rules and regulations that would come with it not to mention the people required to run and over see such a huge program better to let john public worry about them and and local LEO have to deal with them day in and day out ,
