    Years ago I showed up at a friendly pistol match at our club with an old Remington Rand 1911 that I had spray painted fire engine red and had "Swenson" painted on both sides of the slide in white paint. For those who don't know you can google Armand Swenson.

    That is a Llama, JB didn't design it, Llama copied his design and took a bunch of sort cuts to make it easier to build and cheaper.

    I actually had one at one time and it shot pretty good.


    I will say one thing about John Browning he was a great gun designer and builder but his stuff is complicated. I would say the 1911 is about his simplest designs. If you want to have some fun take apart a 94 or 97 Winchester all the way apart or maybe a BAR(the real one). A M2 or a 1919a4 are real fun also and then you have to headspace and time the darn thing once you put it back together. I am not knocking him I am just stating a fact.

    If I knew it was reasonably accurate and wasn't a Jam-O-Matic and if it was selling at a serious discount over a normal 1911 I would bid on it. Notice I said a serious discount!!
