Way back when, my mom asked me to go out and cut her a couple of poles out in our swamp to help her to make a new clothes line.
I was pretty young and unsure what type of trees I cut down but the two posts I ended up with were just right for the job and with some help from a brother we got mom up and running with a line that she used for quite some time.
Her only complaints came along shortly when she told us that we had to keep trimming all the branch shoots that kept sprouting out of her new clothes line on a monthly basis! 😯 and yes, those poles took root as well!!
