...VERY well known for his " McCORMICK FACTORY RACER" 1911 ...they were hard chrome (not bright) with custom everything...made in collaboration w/Colt Custom Shop...I think only 500 or a 1000 were produced...I own an all factory original...#237...beautiful gun...

....Mr McCormick, you will be missed... you definitely left your mark...he was a FANTASTIC USPSA shooter, and pistol smith LEGEND...RIP sir...

I have had a pair of his, slim, 1911 grips on my Gold Cup, since Day !, around 2005. Never had any problems with bushings or anything , except gun. Never could figure the luck of seeing them in the States biggest GS and for only $14 or so. RIP Sir.

He was an awesome shooter / competitor and a first class gunsmith /designer / business man.

He was just coming into the competitive world about the time I was starting.

To say I took a back seat to his shooting skills is an understatement, I wasn't even in the same car !!!!!!!

    Rest in peace, Chip.
