Texas will build its own border barriers?
it's too little too late and I suspect Federal lawsuits are coming for The Texas Governor. The murder rate is sky rocking in Major cities now in Texas and the drug cartels are everywhere especially in Houston Texas with this minority run city and the city Mayor does not have a clue how to cope.

If President Biden won’t build a border wall, then Texas will.
Gov. Greg Abbott said Thursday that his state will erect border barriers in easy-crossing areas along the Rio Grande, and then start arresting and jailing illegal immigrants on state charges.
“The influx across the border is out of control, and the Biden Administration has shown that is not going to step up and do its job,” Mr. Abbott told Breitbart Texas shortly before a border summit Thursday in Del Rio.
Houston homicides up 35%, which is much higher than Chicago, LA or NY
Four homicides in Houston in the last 24-hours have brought the total this year to 199, a 35% increase over 2020.
Compare that to only a 5% increase in homicides so far over last year in Chicago, a 17% increase in New York and a 23% increase in Los Angeles.
The total number of homicides is also higher in Houston than in Los Angeles, a city with nearly twice the population. It’s also higher than New York City, a city of more than eight million people.
“It requires a city-wide, holistic, comprehensive approach,” Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner said on Wednesday in City Council when asked about the crime wave.
“You cannot piecemeal that. Now certainly, HPD is in the best position to move its resources around. But they are limited resources,” he added.

Democrats are in full control (and have been for decades) in many of America’s biggest cities. And some of these Democrat Party establishments are also controlled by blacks. Yet five cities in particular have seen double-digit hikes in their murder rates year to date over last year despite having the more caring, loving, sensible Democrats in charge.
This week, the blog BlueStateConservative highlighted these top five cities that include, New York City, Chicago, Philadelphia, Detroit, and Houston. In all but one, the entire city government (and in most cases the County governments, as well) are fully controlled by black officials.

I think most of the proposed wall was on federal property. So probably not. It sounds good like arresting a bunch of emigrants and holding them for at least six months. But, where do you put them??

I applaud the governor for at least trying . the only good answer if allowed to play out would just make the liberals and lefts heads just explode .
