Trying to kowtow to the queers:
LGBTQ+ Liaison Officer
In the early 1990's, in an effort to improve community relations, the Dallas Police Department created the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ+) Liaison position. This was created to provide community members with a direct point of contact to help foster positive relationships and address unique safety concerns within the LGBTQ+ community.
Pride flag will be flown at Dallas City Hall Plaza in celebration of Pride Month
City council members passed the resolution during a special called meeting Wednesday. The flag will also be flown during Pride Month each year.
I'm REALLY disappointed, but not surprised, by the involvement of the police department.

Just an FYI Nunn.............Dalllas doesn't have anything on Austin. I won't go into details, but just look at our mayor, city manager (LGBTQ), and our sorry city council. Austin is keeping on keeping itself weird, and it sux.

They Californicated the formerly great state of Colorado, and Texas is the next target. Once Texas goes blue, we might as well do away with the cost and agony of elections.

I have lived on a peninsula surrounded by fresh deep water most of my life. There has been talk for several years about pipelining that water to the west. For those of us born and raised here in Michigan, if this were to happen there would be blood.

Why? The drought is affecting "West Texas" not the East... at least according to the article you sight... Here in North Texas we have had more than enough rain the last 45 days or so...
But Back to the original post, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Houston are all becoming way too much liberal imho but I wouldn't just blame it on people from CA, I came from there about 30 years ago and I vote more Conservative than many of the native Texans I know...

Yesterday in AUSTIN...................the mayor and city council approved a proposal for "basic income" for every resident of the city and they have tasked the "light in the loafers" city manager to come up with a way to pay for it. I am deeply saddened that this is happening here.

Gotta love the part where they have to find away to pay for it.
As long as its the idiots who voted for the city council, I'm good with it.
