One of our old members had about 30,000 post and was still only a three star that we used to make fun of here. I forget who that was now.

Heck, I've been here eleven years and have over 12,000 post and I still have three stars but that's ok because I have no idea what they mean anyway.

Keep in mind the format for this forum is available for any group to use, from people who discuss butterfly collecting, to gamers and even serious stuff like guns. The star system is to keep people coming back to generate advertising bucks on most of those forums so the more participation, the more bucks generated. I believe it is based on the number of badges that are rewarded for longevity, likes and promotions. Because it is a commonly available format some things are a little weird when it is used on a gun forum with adults. When they switched over to this format, the term skeet was on the banned words list. Never mind that it is a shotgun sport shot in the Olympics and has been around well over 100 years. Mature people don't need some of the weird censorship or the pats on the back from getting badges.

That being said, I have had my fourth star for a while and I have only been active for 2 1/2 years. Of course cream does rise to the top!🀣🀣 Bob

Maybe if I start randomly hitting the disagree button I'll get a fourth star.😁

    Lock_Stock_and_Darrel,

Stay close to home in a couple of days. All the award gifts will start coming and some may be so large that you may need help getting them in the house.

    Enjoy & Congrats,

    Give away in order?

Got 4 stars some time back, less than 1,000 posts at the time. Member since the Ark sailed, but then again I could not get logged in until this crazy new format came along

One of the gents in the know here says there is no rhyme or reason for the star numbers.

With my new found elevated status, I will try to remember the little people. That guy from Game of Thrones, Tattoo from Fantasy Island, and all those guys from The Hobbit.

    😁

I resemble that remark my nick names have always been shorty, stumpy , or any pick any character / actor that's vertically challenged . besides you left out umpa lumpas and more famous the munchkin's . keep that up leaving out details and 5 stars may not happen LOL

congrats on the 4 stars .. but like many one here the post office must have lost my check for the promotion

I don't care about stripes on my sleeve or shoulder or stars on my collar; I'm just glad to be here.😊
