Cleveland Indians Change Name To The "Guardians"

Looks like Washington D.C. needs a name change soon,maybe after it's made a state.you think?

After years of protests from Native American groups and some fans, Cleveland's Major League Baseball team has officially changed its name after more than 100 years.Ā 

According to the Major League Baseball (MLB)Ā website, the team announced Friday morning that Cleveland Indians is no more, and the new name, drum roll... is Cleveland "Guardians.

    I read that all receipe books will have to change. This will be a boon to publishers. No longer can any receipe contain the term "egg whites". It's racist.

    Guardians is a stupid name but then The Indians are not the best team around.

    While Iā€™m against the name change, nothing wrong with Indians, going back to the Naps would have been cool.

    These are the guardians that the team was renamed after. Look up the Hope Memorial bridge in Cleveland. I have crossed that bridge many times and I always enjoy seeing the guardians of traffic.

    I live near two Native American Reservations. If you ask them (and I have) they smile and shake their heads. There are much better issues to worry about.
