I couldn't stop at just doing a upper

All my parts have arrived for my upper build half way thru putting it all together I found myself ordering a stripped lower it isn't that I like the AR platform so much but I really enjoy assembling them

    Always thought the uppers were easier than the lowers.

    The plan was just put a upper together and swap out out with my other AR's till I went to my local FFL to pick up my bolt carrier group when he told me the deal he had on some stripped lowers he had coming in.

    Once I have all my tools and stuff laid out, I can 'assemble' (I don't "build") a complete AR from a box of parts in around one hour. That's butt stock to flash hider. Normally, I don't do a complete rifle in one session unless it's a specific request. Right now, I have all the uppers I assembled last winter waiting on lowers to be completed but just too many other projects, weather, and part time job dominating my time.

    I can just say,

    Hi my name is Dave and I was a AR build junkie

    after about a dozen I had to go cold turkey and stop 😮 too many auctions and sales I got hooked .

    I even set up a three drawer tool box with all the tools and " make it easy do dads " like roll pin and starter pin punches as examples for building them . a lot of doubles of what I have but I was doing them at night while listing to music / not being able to sleep and every thing was handy in one portable box set up in t he living room and have at it ( except the vise of course )

    I never did a 80% lower I thought about it but just never felt the need as lowers were / are inexpensive and one more form with my name does not mean a lot for now any way .



    I will toss this in I ran across Mark Novak's you tube post besides being really good great gunsmith , he is also a bit funny take a few minutes and watch him .

    any way i watched him working on a old WWI rifle maybe WWII vintage he was showing reference books and how a good book by a expert is a wonderful thing to have when working on older firearm's , as examples , so he was holding up various books 1st one about the rife he was working on and then as he held up another book he would say what gun it was for after about three of four in fast procession he held up a book the title was Legos for dummies' he said here's a book on AR 15 builds... (caught me off guard for a second but it was funny ) then went on to the next book
