My truck is locked no matter where I park it.

At our last family reunion, there was more firepower than some small countries can muster. Little kids running everywhere playing hide and seek so yes, many of the vehicles were locked but not due to sticky finger issues. When the 'family' includes a couple of LEO's, 2 or 3 active duty military, and members of other 'alphabet agencies' here and there, not much goes un-noticed and/or immediately corrected.

we have a habit of locking the doors no matter where we go .as for a family reunions are long gone only a few immediate family left any way .

I do have some shady nephews that I like now trust ? I truly doubt they would take any thing from family , but also crime of convivence does come to mind

My family reunions consisted of taking one brother out to dinner, and cooking dinner for the other one. And yes, I locked my car on both occasions.

Yes, I lock my doors. I worked with one guy who found his wife at a family reunion as she was his 2nd cousin.

" one guy who found his wife at a family reunion as she was his 2nd cousin"

    legal in most states

Considered 'normal' in some Amish communities.

The last family reunion I went to was in Sept of 1956 after my Grandfathers funeral. I looked at a picture I have of the group and all of them are dead except for 5 younger ones. And we are all in our late 60's or 70's.

Dad was the oldest of 13 kids- and Grandparents also raised 2 of their nephews when their Mom died. We hold family reunions at a local park- a LARGE local park. I have 46 first cousins- and I'm a great-grandad, so you can figure that we make up our own zip code day of reunion. Everybody brings something to eat. Head of each household kicks in a few bucks to cover plates, napkins, drinks. Do we lock car doors? Yeah- makes it easier to find missing sleeping kids.

Not everyone at a family reunion is a blood relative (as if that made any difference).

I've never been invited to one and it's too late now. 😕
