Have to do a slight repair on the sagging headliner.... I very seldom take it out to drive, never been in the rain. Original everything aside tires, belts and hoses. 96 Grand Sport Z-51

took the top off my Tracker three weeks ago and it has rained every single day since. by the way the tracker has been in the rain and the mud, the blood, and the beer.

Yes a matter of fact I do. And what concern is that of those who ask these questions? We do still live in America where Choice... yes Choice is a way of life. Quite of few items in my collections are seldom used for nothing more than art. Same as a piece on the wall.

Here is a shabby one.... Requested for Exhibit in 2010 by the National Corvette Museum. 10 automobiles were built for Dale Earnhardts induction into the NASCAR Hall of Fame. #8 was the only one built differently with a supercharged 704 HP engine, lowered, sub frame connectors, larger brakes, and a custom interior. This car now has 38 ( thirty eight ) miles on it. Purchased the second one that now has 75 miles on it. Pic of it on exhibit at the National Corvette Museum

I've just about given up on keeping mice out of my Camaro. Its in the barn right now with a dead battery. My brother's new house has a spot in his garage for my car. He says he will drive it from time to time. It will be better for it over there. I just need to get it out and clean it up (again) so it can be "rehomed" over there with him. The barn just isn't the place for a car you don't drive very often.

As with all in my collection... fluids are changed..
Just out of curiosity, how do you maintain them. Do you start them occasionally to move some oil around and not develop flat spots on engine bearings? How about tires and wheel bearings? If you do run them periodically, how long do you run them so you don't have start up moisture problems? Do you use battery maintainers? They look pristine and I bet it is a bit of work to keep them that way. Bob

Keeping batteries on trickle chargers and starting them up and running to temp.. Engines and transmissions. However manual transmissions are the easiest. Moving them back in forth . Fuel stabilizer and 1/4 tanks of fuel. Not all that hard to do once a schedule is maintained. NO car covers.. car covers can scratch the paint. Building has no light in it aside opening the regular door up to get in it. Paint stays out of the ultraviolet light from outside. Dust is ok on them it protects the paint.

That would all work in Michigan except for the 1/4 tank of gas. With our temperature swings condensation would be a major problem in the gas tank. Of course a temp controlled garage would control that. How long do the disposables like wiper blades and hoses last with your maintenance program? Sorry for all the questions - I come from an automotive family, but long term storage has never been something I had to deal with. Bob

+1 for post above. Due to the condensation issue, I have always heard it is best to keep the gas tank full, why the 1/4 full tank?

It saves a lot of gas and helps the planet. One day all combustible engines vehicles will be banned from driving. Probably like having your firearms de-miiled for prosperity too! I guess they could de- mill every spark plug hole so the threads are gone and punch a hole in the pistons from the top too.
