Marijuana users still not allowed to possess firearms in Virginia
New laws allow citizens to possess marijuana, but not a gun at the same time.
“If you are found with marijuana and a firearm they could go back and charge you criminally for having lied on the federal form, so we want to make sure when you answer those questions, you’re answering truthfully and honestly at the time you fill out the form.”

Back when I was working the gun counter we were known to refuse showing guns to anyone we suspected of being impaired. Drunks would sometimes get a little belligerent but stoners were always pretty mellow and understanding. Bob

What if "at the time" you bought a firearm, you did not smoke pot.
So you did not lie on your forms.
Then it became legal in your state, and you decided to try it.
You LIKE it, now you smoke it all the time.

I hear that many gun shops are also stocking Dorito's behind the counter. They are using them to test the customers honesty! 😁

No surprise to me if the politicians (democrats) want to do away with that question on a 4473 form and allow dopers to have firearms, just to get their vote.
Now what would make even suspect a Democrat politician would say something like that???
