cousin called me saturday, a local 9 hole course he runs was having a golf tournement this weekend, sunday and today, yesterday best ball, today scramble, it was a 2 man blind draw. got paired with fellow I didn't know yesterday but seemed for every bad hole he or I had the other made up for with on the hole. we ended up two over, leaders are just one under. getting ready to leave now as have 7:15 tee time, us old folks get going early before the heat........ played saturday for warm up, and am paying for it now. mind says I can do 3 days straight, will see if body agree's

Dad and his wife took me golfing years ago to a local 9 hole course. I shot a 28. Then on the second hole, I got it down to a 22. I did have one good drive from one tee. That was the one and only time I ever held a golf club.

heat took over common sense, that and they had us play the front tees first round then all the way back to back tees for last nine, got to swinging to hard and game went to pot, we did end up in 5th place at 4 under while not in any money it was enjoyable and eneded up with respectable score, good thing they didn't have cameras, every one of us old farts was complaining at the meal afterwards about having to play the back tee's only time we even see em is driving by on the way to the front tees. I know I'm not gonna be moving to fast this evening or tomorrow, just hope the grandkids take it easy on me............ we were in the middle of a lawn dart tournement last night, got a bad feeling I am gonna "loose" that one also this evening, way I feel even the wife could beat me

Well, heck, -4 under is pretty good for a 2 man scramble. And the game just made you use some muscles and tendons that needed it. Good for you. A++
