Remington 788 in 30-30
IIRC someone mentioned wanting one of these. Locust fork has one listed. I have no idea what one of these in 30-30 sells for but it seems this one has some attention.

They are a cool rifle. I always wanted one and I like 788's.

The magazines are REALLY scarce. Ditto for the equally rare .44 Mag, and even the 6mm. If the rifle doesn't come with one, think long and hard before bidding.

I had both the 788 and savage super in 30-30 at the same time. With a nice 130
spire point, both shot very well, the 788 having the nicer trigger but the super being considerably lighter and handier not to mention noticeably less expensive. Just pointing out another classic option.

I had a Savage 340 that I gave to the younger family members that can use the iron sights better then I can now days. The 788 is drilled and tapped for scope mounting is why it's on my wish list.

If I saw a sav 340 in 225 win I'd have to take a serious look at it. I noticed locust fork has a m70 in 225. It's going to be out of my reach. But I like the idea of it.
