Last I recall he talked about giving up being LEO, and moving. Sure hope he is doing OK.

He's been MIA for a while. I remember one night he posted comments about a Japanese internment camp in British Colombia. By shear chance, I happened to be there when the memorial was dedicated and I posted some photos of the event. That was the last time I heard from him.

Better known as Shilo. Sure miss his posts.

It's been almost a year since he's logged on: August 2020. As montanajoe said, I hope he's doing alright.

Always enjoyed his post. Straight shooter. Seemed to be very independent and kind of reminded me of BSR. Always spoke highly of his folks and I am sure he came from good stock. I think he was just getting burned out as a LEO and the way they were starting to get treated in SW Virginia. Hope he comes back.------------------------------Ray

I was trying to remember the guy from North Carolina that had the pit bull named Buddy.

If you are referring to KenK/84Bravo, he pushed the limits a bit to much and was a casualty of the dreaded ban hammer. I do miss his posts but he has no one to blame but himself. Bob

Ken lived in Tennessee (You know the gun friendly state). He escaped Greenwood Lake, NY (about 10 miles from me) I recon about 15 years ago and migrated to a hollow in TN. I enjoyed his post also. Sorry, he shot himself in the foot.-----------------------------Ray

Ken poked the bear one time too many, he got the paw as did Cling2myguns.

Ken is working in the meat department at a local grocery store, happy as a pig in shat.

The hammer man will at least give one a warning shot.😓

He fell out of favor for going on a white water rafting trip while claiming to be 100% disabled. he also bragged about his tax free income, and not having to file a tax return. This was in 2009, when some of our members were suffering from losing their jobs or drastically reduced hours. I honestly felt sorry for a lot of those guys. Captain Fun, who was running the show back then (he's out of the picture now), decided that GRD was no longer needed in the forums. Need I say more?

I liked him, but he was using the forum PM system as a recruiting tool to direct our members to another gun forum. It got to the point that some of the moderating staff was calling him Ken79 Romeo, which is a US Army Recruiter. He was told to stop, instead he gave numerous excuses, none of which were believable. That was the end of it. If you don't want to be here, speak up and I'll see to it that you get your wish.

Dave1965 - has Addision's condition and had knee replacement surgery about 3 years ago. I haven't seen him post in quite some time. I hope he is doing OK. Best Regards - AQH

I don’t pay to rile Capt. Fun.

    M.C.

I know Ken. Worked for his family some and have his contact info.

That is how I know who, what, and where he is. We live no too far apart.

There are some GB forum members that are on other sites also, not just GB.

Don't have to worry about me, just barely can stay logged into GB. All the others seem to get logged out and for some reason I can't reset passwords. Sites are overloaded just like everything else I would guess.

Pretty sure some of the MIA's were due to the lack of ability to do the switch over to the latest format. Their flux capacitor was "fluxed" up. Change is not a good thing for some of us older folks.

Mark I was largely kidding in my post about Get R Done, hard to convey sarcasm on the forum. I have been friends with several guys on this forum but not Get R Done. By the way his name, the middle letter of the first name was "i" but the auto censor won't let me write that. Go figure.

Any way, that guy was a goofball and a flake he deserved to be kicked off. But he was always entertaining. He posted a photo of himself, I think he lived in a trailer park and he was out in the yard with just shorts on, no shirt, I think he was in a lazy-boy recliner, and there was a pile of empty beer cans and he was drinking a beer and his fat beer belly was sticking out. Yes, a lazy-boy recliner in the yard.

I mean, the title of the photo should have been "Trailer Trash." Most guys, if they drank beer in a lazy boy in the front yard would not post the photo online, but that was Get R Done. Always entertaining.

Was Get-R-Done the guy that would sometimes do about a hundred post a day?

    0
  • allen griggs

Yes Get R Done had the fastest rising post count in forum history. He was piling on about 35 or 40 posts a day.
