Economic indicator? Maybe
A lady I know owns one of those Vape, Cigarette, beer, Paraphernalia stores.
She was worried, said on the 18th that they usually do about 25K but had only done 18K. I asked why she said same customers but they are all broke.
That coupled with the recent realization that two houses on my street went up for sale and HAVE NOT already been sold.
Perhaps the "stimmy" money and extra unemployment are petering out and the churning real property market cooling off?

Hate to sound all gloomy but we are in for some very bad times. I see all these crazy people buying all these expensive cars and fancy houses, and they could not come up with ten grand to ransom one of their kids. Thousand dollar iPhone?? Are you kidding me?? What a dumb ass thing to do.

I hope things slow down. I am in the market for a retirement home. This so called pandemic is putting a crimp on everything.

Screw em. I think I will turn off the radio, I don't have a tv hooked up to the outside world, and just be happy for a while. Things are great right now, and there is no telling how long they will stay that way. No sense in worrying about things I can not control.

The country flows about 9 months behind. Real Estate market has cooled off. So when spring comes and new home sales and construction comes around.. there won't be much. Property will get cheaper when foreclosures start happening mid to late next summer. Inflation will show its real ugly head by spring. Toys will get cheap..stuff folks can live without.

Yep I saw that in southern California after the dot com crash in what 2000, 2001?? The pawn shops were loaded with all kinds of expensive stuff including exotic cars and motorcycles.

Just sold one of my rentals for a LOT more than I paid for it ten years ago. Gonna sell one more and wait for the up coming crash and replace em for half of what I sold these for.🤑
And this market is going to crash. It's not a matter of if, but when.

Spring-Summer 2022 is when it will crash. There are 2.7 million mortgages in forbearance for COVID. The forbearance ends December 31, 2021.
