  almost making landfall. foward motion has slowed slightly. not having much of an effect here in SE Ms yet but the day's not over.

  ...Nasty storm...sustained winds at 150mph, gusting to 185, not expected to get to Cat 5 since its running out of water and about to make landfall around Houma/Grand Isle...I wonder how many Hurricane parties are going on in NO...
