Cause Dr Falsey says that's medical misinformation. Gotta follow the science, ya know?

No money to be made on it.

Some people have been taking to much of it leading to bad outcomes. Instead of taking a weight appropriate dose they are taking enough for 1000+ pound horse. Then there are those that have side effects effects as there will be with any medications and since it wasn't prescribed much hay can be made. Then I'm sure there are those taking combo wormers that contain more meds that just Ivermectin which can cause issues.

So social media outlets are restricting information much like The Soviets and Germans did (and still do).

Because f book is one of the bigger commies in the USA now. Drop em and you will be much BETTER off. If everyone would take a stand, we wouldn't have those type of problems!

I think you pretty much nailed it. With the dumbing down of our population, some people don't understand the difference in dosage or the extra ingredients in horse worm medicine that can be fatal. Remember the idiot and his wife who took aquarium cleaner thinking it was the same as hydroxychloroquine? Remembering that these people probably vote can explain a lot of things.

There are numerous studies that tentatively indicate both ivermectin and chloroquine can be effective treatments if used correctly, so it is sad they get negative press from idiots doing the wrong thing. Bob

If you google ivermectin, the first several pages are sites that poo-poo the use by humans. Nothing about it’s intended use in animals. Shows you how biased Google is.

Same with hydroxychloriquin(sp?). That has been used for DECADES for anyone traveling over seas for Malaria prevention. Now according to all the talking heads, it has too many side effects and you may die! What a bunch of crap. Pres Trump mentioned it, because Drs said it worked, and now it's the devil. Politics have ruined all most everything!

For what it's worth, I asked my long trusted doc about it last week. He is open to a number of things that some docs are not. His response was,....."It is not remotely proven to be clinically effective, and the ways it is being used is dangerous. I would not recommend it to a family member of mine."

Personally I don't care what people take trying to protect/cure themselves of any disease. Just be ready for the consequences if wrong.

Hydroxychloryclin is $3, Remdisivir is $3,000. And yeah, Trump said the word so it's the devil, but big money supports the politics of anti-Trumpers

Used it for years with the horses. I agree with the above - can’t take 4-5x the weight appropriate dosage and expect good things.

Math counts! And no one will push a $2 treatment when the taxpayers will pay $200.

I think my wife keeps some in the fridge for the animals but last few weeks she has ben talking about all the great things people say about it and its effects on corvid and some other drug that's common also people are using do not recal th ename right now

for years I have heard and seen the "prepper's " buying up all kinds of meds from fish antibiotic's to well any meds meant for animal's and stock up on them use to work with a old farmer who razed hogs and cattle he would use the same meds as he gave the livestock and his "vet" seemed to agree with him ( per his words )

There is a HUMAN version of ivermectin that is NOT dangerous to humans. Doctors should know that. I agree, taking horse meds that contain ivermectin and OTHER meds is not good for you.

Also, fish antibiotics are the exact same as human antibiotics IF you buy the right one.

Gotta be a little smarter than the average bear and NOT take aquarium cleaner. BUT if doctors were not scared to write prescriptions(due to political pressures) then MOST prople would not try to self medicate!
