Get rid of the Bolt
GM has recalled all 152K Volts Bolts because they catch on fire. That is going to cost them some bucks.

The impacted vehicle is the BOLT not the Volt. I even double checked on the Chevrolet safety website.
A good friend of mine has one and he was notified they will be giving him some sort of voucher for a new vehicle.

Was riding in a 1960s Ford Falcon once and we lit the back seat on fire with fireworks and it looked like that. We just kept driving it.

...Good Lord...why would anyone want a car no bigger than a shopping cart?? I don't care how high the price of gas goes, I would never have anything that tiny...I'm a pickup person, have always had full size trucks or Suburban...last car I owned was a GTO in high school...

I am done with GM. 2013 Silverado worst underbody rust ever. Three estimates over $8,000 to fix. GM offered $1,500. 50 years of Chevy Trucks. Bought a new Ram one year ago. "0" problems.

Owned my last GM vehicle in about 1978 - a nice little step-side pickup (6 cyl, 3-speed) Had been a solid GM guy, as was my Dad. It seemed like quality started to go to pot in the 80s, and it certainly has not turned around since. The bailout and effective union ownership is likely to blame.

Seems like most of the EV makers have or had recalls for basically the same problems. Ford, Hyundai, Honda, Audi, and others have all had the recalls. Methinks the technology hasn't kept up to the urge to convert to battery powered vehicles. Going green is not only dangerous it makes us even more dependent on hostile countries that supply the materials for the batteries. IMHO it is kind of a lose/lose situation and I don't want to take part. Bob

Won't cost them any money. They will write off the expense against the gains they make this yr. States are starting to give incentives to companies converting to electric. Bad part.. China owns most of the raw materials used to make the batteries.
